Heidi Marie Rasmussen
Heidi Marie Rasmussen
Yoga & Movement
At the Rise Wellness Festival, Heidi Marie Rasmussen will be teaching Poi Dance: Playfully Weaving Your Prayers. This class has been guided by the NaiAsa Institute's "Foundations of Neurosomatic Flow Arts," a program that teaches how prayerful play and flow states can rewire our brains to encourage deep healing and transformation in our lives.

You will also find her co-creating in Medicine Song Circles and Kirtan. Growing up in a family of musicians and participating in family bonfire jams, she has been singing for the pure joy of sound and connection since she was small. She grew up in a family where the connection and play with one another were the important parts of the song, rather than the 'expertise' or perfection of the sound.

Heidi has been teaching various styles of yoga, dance, and wellness for over 15 years. She is an entrepreneur and wellness witch wearing many hats, including Web Entrepreneur, Nutritionist (BScN), Registered Yoga Teacher, Swing Dance Instructor, and Musician. Her current focus is on growing food and community on her land while learning how to work with the wild medicinal plants that grow around her.
