Kristiann McCool

Workshop

Kristiann has been teaching Kizomba, and eventually Urban Kiz, since 2013; across Canada, the US, and France. She initially fell in love with dance at the age of 5, competing and training in Ballet, Jazz, and Hip Hop growing up. She then moved into the partner dancing world where she found Cuban Salsa and performed and trained internationally for over 10 years. The introduction to partner dancing eventually led to discovering Kizomba and she never looked back.

Kristiann has a passion for teaching, a love for watching students get that “AHA” moment, and a desire to always be learning and working on her own dance practice and teaching methods. Her teaching style focuses mainly on foundational techniques and creative drills that she hopes will help push beginner to advanced dancers improve their skills.

Kizomba & The Art of Connection

Discover how to truly feel your partner in dance. In this workshop, we’ll explore the connection points that make Kizomba so magnetic, practice partner breathing for deeper synchronization, and learn to hold space with both strength and softness. You’ll leave with tools to move as two individuals in perfect harmony—rooted, responsive, and fully connected.
